Moshur dal with shell, commonly known as Whole Masoor Dal or Sabut Masoor, is the unhusked version of the standard red lentil. Unlike the orange split variety, these lentils are brown on the outside and take longer to cook but offer a richer, earthier flavor and significantly more fiber.
